17th November. I have just fitted my winter wheels to avoid the inevitable advisory for the well scrubbed front nearside outer edge on my summer tyres and I am quietly confident. Cam belt change same day, same place.

So mine just failed on excessive play of a track rod end and a damaged CV joint boot.

Yay. Learned to drive in 2011.

No, not too bad. They are keeping today and are open half day tomorrow so will be sorted and retested by then. £190 all in including the MOT. Possibly not the cheapest but they are local, have the car and I need it sorted. Learned to drive in 2011.

Mine's booked in tomorrow, (Sat 14th) I'm fairly confident it has no issues, I will be interested to see if my newly fitted HID kit gets picked up on though.

It's funny. Every time something like this happens with the car I consider changing it for something newer that will cost less in the short term to maintain. Then I remember even a used Disco Sport will likely cost £300+ a month in payments. Just can't justify it. Learned to drive in 2011.

No worries, just bear in mind though, some MOT testers are a bit more picky than some others, I like to think mine is one of the more reasonable ones
