I have. I am using a navvideo unit GVIF (This one) to send the signal to the original oem screen. The reverse camera I got from ebay.
It fits in the right license plate light housing replacing the original factory one. Pretty simple job.
The hardest part was to run the wires from the rear door to the inside of the car, but not difficult. Cuatro Por Cuatro

Ha ha not cheap. But IMO worth it. I can also have my wife watch movies while we travel long trips. It works really well. Cuatro Por Cuatro

did you have to wire it into the can bus system? and did you have to get the system programmed by LR?

Not connected to can-bus system. I think that is only on other LR's LR dealer does not have to do anything to have this working.
You need a switched power source for the GVIF unit, a ground and the reverse light wire to have it all working. Really simple to install.
The GVIF unit comes with a switched to toggle between OEM nav and the different sources you might have connected to the video inputs on the GVIF. It automatically switches to reverse camera once the car is in reverse. Really neat. Cuatro Por Cuatro

Npinks - brill thanks again, invaluable input.

4por4 looking into this a bit more it looks like you connect this to the dvd player (for the sat nav) under the seat, is this correct or is it to the back of the screen?

I really apreciate your help. i can see me doing this,( i managed to do it on my last mercedes but i had to have the car programmed.)

Yeah it connects to the DVD/NAV player under the seat. Make sure you get the FL2 or LR2 Video cable with it. Some kits out there have the generic Land Rover video cable and it will not fit the LR2 or FL2. Trust me I had this happen. Cuatro Por Cuatro

I don't have a picture of it. It is a pretty straight forward process though. I have mine sitting just above the Navigation DVD under the passenger side. All connections are really easy to figure out. Once you have the GVIF on hand is easier to see where things go.

A picture of my set up won't really help you out since all wiring it's all pretty much out of sight under the carpet. Cuatro Por Cuatro
