How Many Miles ?

OK folks I'm lucky enough to cover a reasonable mileage for work in my FL2 which combined with own use means I've covered just over 57,000 miles .... I've loved every minute of it and still get a great buzz every time I get behind the wheel .... without doubt the best car I've owned in 36 years of motoring ...

So how many miles have you driven and how much have you enjoyed it ...

For all our overseas friends who cover km's then please divide your km's by a factor of 1.6 to convert to miles.

Cheers
Avtur. Stornoway Grey GS ... What a fine motor Smile ... but not any more ... Big Cry ... psst look at my gallery!
Company cars ... a thing of the past - May 2013.

Turned over 16,000 over Easter weekend in just under 10 months. All very enjoyable, no breakdowns, no warranty issues since I queried vibration* in 6th felt through the gear lever, standard first service, 40+ MPG overall.

*Vibration checked out by dealer technician and then later by the regional technical manager who decided that the level was not abnormal although the dealer demo car vibes were less noticable than mine. I've learned to ignore it! Gone... 2013 XS TD4 Manual Firenze Red
Gone... 2008 (09MY) XS Td4 Manual Stornaway Grey
Prior... 2003 G4 Discovery 2, 1998 Disco 1 and 1997 Disco 1 Company car before that
Also gone in Nov'13, after 7.5 yrs, to new owners with time for more TLC - 1980 Series III 88
Current 2015 Discovery Sport HSE 2.0

Best car I have ever had and the colour is also great (for not showing the grime) Thumbs Up - no problems at all with the car (only a software fix for the TOWBAR electronics), first service expensive but well executed. Sunroof clip fixed with only 1 greasy finger mark on the roof lining. Superb sales staff and service staff at my dealers. 99 marks out of 100. Thumbs Up

Land Rover Norway on the other hand although helpful are rather arrogant and devious about answering questions (concerning oil type) and their website never seems to work correctly. Volvo who are the LR importers to Norway cease to be so at the end of the year and at present no one knows who will be.

Low marks for LR-Norway Crying or Very sad and ZERO marks for Volvo. Evil or Very Mad 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

17,500 miles. Love the car and the general drive. It let's itself down with annoying things like rattles and the occasional non-start!! Gone - TD4 XS Auto, Sumatra Black, Mud flaps and side strips, clear indicators, private plate, privacy glass

33,000 in my first year - Can't think of anything that has disappointed me. May 2008 must have been a good time for delivering reliable models. FL2 TD4 XS Santorini

Nope has to be the Cayman S Mr. Green

Almost 30,000 kms in the LR2 and am yet to be disappointed. It's handling on the road is great and off road it's just at home (although this weekend will really challange it!), and it's cruising ability just blows my mind everytime. Pillar wear and a airco fan squeak are the only minor niggles with an otherwise faultless car. Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back!
