Struggling to find relevant info on here re locking

So: bit of history


I have the usual nearside rear not unlocking issue.
I replaced the tailgate release wiring as it wouldn't open with the 'double tap'

I changed out the battery on the spare fob

Now it would appear that the tailgate is not unlocking when i exit the car but requires the fob ( vehicle unlock) to be used to release it? At the same time the alarm arms itself when I fail to lock the vehicle? Pretty sure neither of these issues were apparent before I changed the battery on the , since unused , spare fob? FL2 SD4 HSE lux auto
