Hi I am in the need of some assistance. Had to change the alternator at the weekend on my 09 Commercial, it was a breaks special it has to be said. Fitted perfectly no issues at all it went back together wonderfully. I replaced the original fuel filter as I did not have a spare, bleed it out the usual way no problem. But know the land rover won’t rev. The start is lumpy and it only ticks over around the 700rpm. Does not respond to the throttle and at times car be rough on tick over. There are no fuel leaks and you can see through fuel line if there is any air in the system. Checked if for codes and cleared them. Fitted new filter this afternoon still no better. Open to suggestions.

Just a thought and something easy to check by measuring battery voltage but is the alternator charging OK? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto

The radio told me Low voltage! That problem was address with the help of a large jump battery. The engine will tick over quite happily and the voltage seam fine. It did run 12 miles home when the alternator failed with no issues, but I will put the batter on charge for good measure. cheers
