VIN edit by SDD

787/5000
good morning to all dear,
I ask a very challenging question ....
According to the experts,

I especially turn to:

is it possible to configure as new modules those components that come from donor cars, managing to change the VIN too?

my experience comes from the configuration of the PCM of our Freelander, with SDD I was able to configure as a new component an ecu of another Free VIN included.
But this is not possible to do with the ABS module, for example, I wonder if the door modules or any other component, IPC, BCM, etc ..., can be reprogrammed by also reporting the VIN of the car that receives the piece.

I tried to read the xml files but there is no rumor about it.

thank anyone who can help me in this project.

sorry english by google translate ....

It's possible, for security reasons, if the VIN storage is filled (not blank), for the procedure to fail on some modules.

Otherwise, it's done by default on SDD in Configure new (blank) modules.

Or you can try to send over CAN to the desired module, if it's capable of VIN learn - run routine control service (0x31) - VIN learn procedure (0x0404)
(0x04 0x31 0x01 0x04 0x04)

Some modules you can read the eeprom data, edit it, and put it back in. Most modules don't care if you have the wrong VIN, despite DTCs

Thanks a lot for the answer.
but now another question arises how can I run "routine control service (0x31) - VIN learn procedure (0x0404)" with SDD?
do you need another equipment?
