Driveshaft - petrol and diesel interchangeable?

Hi guys. I’ve located a second-hand-just-to-get-home driveshaft in Sydney. It’s off an i6. Anyone know if I it will fit my SD4? Cheers. MY11 SD4 SE Auto

If you go onto the af site they have driveshafts for both models you could check part numbers.

Depends on which side you need. The L/H side one is the same for both cars. When you say driveshaft do you mean cv joint which is a replacement part on it's own.

Yep thanks. I checked britpart and it’s different according to transmission. Front passengerside, and thankfully the donor is also an auto trans.
Thanks for your replies guys. MY11 SD4 SE Auto
