Intermittent starting issue

2007 model had the standard starting issue that was overcome by inserting a battery resets switch etc.
Anyway sent away the clocks and had them re programmed to the car.
And every now and again it still won’t start and you have to do the battery reset.
It would appear the key fob is very old, would this be the issue so I need to get a new battery installed?
If not what else can I try please

You will probably need to expand a bit on what you have said. I've not heard of anyone inserting a battery reset switch before.
Sending the clocks away to be re-programmed ?
The nature of the non-starting, i.e. press start and nothing happens, or the dash lights go out or the engine spins over but won't fire.

How old is the battery, what are its voltages like at rest, during starting and if possible when running.
