composite front door anyone ? How do you make it shine?

we have a lovely red composite door as of about 5 years ago, it is just so dull now, no shine whatsoever, does anyone know of any (preferably) household products that can restore it to its original gleaming state? I tried a car wash product (showroom shine) it shone but not for long.

Sadly the letter box and handle are covered in corrosion as of a couple of years back, I feel as if we got Censored crap products added to the door. 2017 SEAT Ateca 4drive 2.0 xcellence (May 2022 -

Don’t know about shine but the letter plate and handle can be easily diy changed for not a huge cost.

Cautionary tale for composite door buyers

We had a lovely composite door fitted in our last house... the large oval window in it had an acrylic inlay fixed between the inner and outer panes to make it look like patterned glass.

The acrylic inlay had a different expansion rate to the glass and consequently it cracked in a couple of places making it look as though the window was badly cracked. Needless to say, the window had been ‘built in’ and was not repairable.

The window fitter (recommended) had disappeared, the insurance backed guarantee was worthless and the door manufacturer didn’t give a Censored as we weren’t trade and they didn’t actually sell the door to us.

My white composite door has faded as it gets full sun all day. Mind you, it is getting in for 20 years old. Can they be repainted/sprayed? Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

This is a problem with all plastics with non painted surfaces, best I found was buff with Brasso then use sealer polish like Diamond Hard, you should get 6 months or a year if you are lucky before you need to try again, other option is a paint job using an auto paint but you are looking at £50 ish per 500ml. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

My daughter painted her door with Frenchic paint. I thought it wouldn't work and was quite sceptical, but it came up a treat.

that looks like very good paint, lots of the reviews showed many people had painted their doors successfully, thanks for that 2017 SEAT Ateca 4drive 2.0 xcellence (May 2022 -
