New Tyres

HI All
Having 2 new tyres on Tuesday same make Goodyear Wranglers all round.

Just wondering what the thoughts are about putting them on the front, so I can eventually get all 4 to same ware depth Then rotate front and rears to keep same tread depths
The rears tyres have 6mm.

I normally put the new ones on the rear but have never been able to get even ware on fronts and rears.

As the car normally runs in FWD most of the time the fronts ware quicker.

I welcome any thoughts on this or should i just put the new ones on the rear

Thanks

I have never noticed uneven wear on my 4 tyres.

Three years ago I changed all 5 tyres, have since completed over 20,000 mils and all 4 road tyres have the same wear across the width of the tread and same wear front to back.

The fronts will wear more so I’d put them on the front if it was mine. In fact that what I did on my Evoque when I replaced both fronts when I had an unrepairable puncture. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

I would put the new pair on the front as you have 6mm on rear then don’t rotate them, all four then should have worn evenly by next tyre change Thumbs Up

On the front is the consensus view and I'd do the same. Jules

Put the depth gauge on the rears today and they are very very near to 7mm so I guess its on the front thanks everyone for the comments I was going with the fronts but it's nice to get other opinions
Thanks everyone for comments
