Got a few symptoms on the car that could suggest a faulty MAF sensor. Seen various tutorials on cleaning it with MAF Cleaner Spray.

I already have a can of WD40 Contact cleaner - is that the same thing? Don't want to waste money on a can of stuff I ready have but likewise don't want to use the wrong thing. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

I use Electrical Contact Cleaner in a spray can

I used wd40 cc with no adverse affects

Brake cleaner.

There is also a product in North America by Kleen I believe that is specifically for MAFs. I think it's called MAF cleaner but now that Alex has suggested brake cleaner, I would go with that.......

Electrical contact or Brake cleaner are much the same,
the brake cleaner is always handy to have in the man cave.

A little aside from the topic here.

Brake cleaner and a wire brush is also the best and cheapest BBQ cleaner you'll find. far cheaper than the stuff they try to sell you for this job.

I buy it in baulk from carparts 4 less, with there regular promo codes you can get it for about £2.50 a can.
