Used in a 2012 facelift LR2 with Alpine stereo. Works with parking sensors.

Does not work in newer versions with the colour LCD screen, this is designed for the LR2 with the bucket in the centre of the dash, between the vents. This does not replace built in radio, and uses the Aux channel for sound.

Apologies for the delay, I've been on holiday.

I believe they will. Whilst my car was the facelift version, it had the old style stereo and according to eBay/Xtrons this will fit.

Is the Apple car play ony for if you have an iPhone?

The CarPlay device does support Android Auto (this is the device I bought), I believe it only works wirelessly with CarPlay, but as I don't have android I cannot test if its wireless, it does at least support Wired Android Auto. For Sale: 2012 Freelander 2 GS (https://www.freel2.com/forum/post431941.html)
