Norway 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Tambora Flame
DTC's - any advice?

Hi, I have experienced a light loss of power/torque under acceleration some times. I read these DTC's today. Any advice on how to interpret them?

P.s.
All of these was intermittent only, so no MIL lamp on.

Hello

Likely to believe that the intake flap is out of control. Is it checked? Plastic gear. And the codes are pointing at it.. Is the codes cleared and checked again? Brgds Birger Telemark:) FL2 2009 SE auto, Stornoway gray (gone)

Nice to see you over on this forum also!
I guess you have pinpointed it quite precisely there! Have done some more searching so it seems like the TB gears is on its way out.... The codes was cleared yesterday, and these was what came up. I guess the two last codes relates to the first ones...
Did my clutch a month ago, but I guess maintain and old car is a continuously job...

What state is your glow plugs and swirflaps?

Norway 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Tambora Flame

Hi!

Manifold was of 3 years ago for replacement of the glowplugs. Swirl flaps seemed fine back then, so just let them be.

Ordered a new Pierburg throttle body today. Got it for 142GPB including shipping to Norway and Norwegian VAT.

Norway 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Tambora Flame

Hi,

New throttle body unit fitted today and car tested. Related fault codes are now gone and other symptoms seems also to be gone. The engine is a lot smoother on shut down now than before. I opened the old unit and was surprised that the gears inside was in good shape, but it was soaked in oil. Anyway, things are good now, so hope it stays like that.

There is only one fault code left that pops up again:
P2297(21)
Raw code: 229721
ECU: Engine control unit
Status: Test failed, Test failed (current drive cycle), Confirmed, Test not completed since last DTC clear, Test failed since last DTC clear
OBDII: Heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) 1, bank 1 - signal out of range during deceleration

I guess that the oxygen sensor might be on its way out? Have to monitor this one...
