There was 3 post all referring to the post above, so you have quote, quoting quote which is quoting the previous 3 uses of quotes, nothing in between. I am sure people reading can work out the following post is refering to the one above

if somebody post in between you reply, then you can always use the edit button, that whats thats there for too Rolling Eyes

didnt understand that - have I missed something Question

basically don't bother using the 'quote' button if you are responding to the directly previous post people can read that post, and they know your response is meant for

use it if you are responding to a post that is a few posts further up the page, say if its gone off topic, or your answering a certain part of a question

By having somebody respond to a posts that have already got 'quotes' in them numerous times, basically duplicating whats been written again, it uses more space per page, takes up so much space on the forum, and when more space is used, more money it cost Martin to run the site due to bandwidth been used

Or i can just keep altering them Rolling Eyes Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Sorry it's been a while since I've posted. Been busy. School... Work...

So did anyone get a picture of the badge with a measurement?

Diesel: Not sure if this is applicable for Europe, (I'm about to sound like a right wing nut, but this is true no matter your politics) but in the USA we have a ton of California based groups of tree hugging hippie nuts that think diesel is less efficient and pollutes more than gasoline blah blah blah.

I know better.

Also, what he said about refineries not being able to produce enough is true, plus, once again in the USA, not sure about Europe, we run ULSD - Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel - once again thanks to the hippies, this rises the price because it requires further refining.

I was in Amsterdam over spring break as I mentioned, but I didn't drive so I am not sure. I did see plenty of Diesel Rovers and it made me look forward to when they bring them to the USA.

If I understand correctly, they had some at the New York Auto Show... I think 2010 or 2011 we'll have diesels. I carry a gun because I can't carry a cop.

I thought it would be.

Out here in West Texas we have as you know, a lot of oil production.

Many people, including trophy wives that drive their kids to school and go shopping all day drive these large 3/4 ton or 1 ton Ford, Chevrolet or Dodge trucks with diesel motors because they think "I'm in a diesel Ford that's just like being in a big rig semi truck!*"

These things are so big they make a Defender 110 look like a Freelander. But then you have a lot of people who work in the oil field or out on a farm that run off highway diesel that has the red dye in it. It has not been road taxed so it's cheaper but if you get pulled over by Department of Transportation and they catch you with red dye in your tank, large fines are soon to follow.

There are a lot of people that run the Red Diesel in their vehicles just because it's cheaper. My work truck is a Ford F250 diesel and I've never run Red Diesel and I never will because I don't want that fine.

*I'm sure y'all know this but just to be safe, Semi Truck = Lorry

Back on track, can someone please get me that picture? I am really wanting to install my badges and I want to make sure I have it aligned correctly and that it looks good.

Thanks

I can help you here in that:
The key measurements are 90 mm and 50 mm.

The bottom of the badges are 90 mm from the bottom lip of the tailgate and the "F" of Frelander is 50mm from the left hand lip of the tailgate. The dirivative ends its description at 50mm fro the right hand lip of the tailgate.
I dont want to teach my mother to suck eggs but a masking tape line at 90mm fro bottom will keep things level and pencil marks on the tape will set the distances.
i hope this helps.
Cheers! Ralph
