Boot opening

Hi all,
Should my boot on a 2010 FL2 open with the car doors?
Because mine doesn’t, it will only open via the button on the fob.
Thanks,

Lee

On mine if you press the open button once it will unlock the drivers door and the boot, if you press twice (or use the key) it unlocks all the doors and the boot.
I presume you mean only with the "boot" button? Common sense isn't very common.

Yes. When I open the door(s) via the fob it doesn’t open. I have to press the button on the fob to open it.

Suggest you try this...

Lock car on fob then hold lock and unlock buttons for 3 seconds. Indicators will flash and you now have one press total access.

I take it that when you say "open" you mean unlock?

And close all windows by holding the lock button down when locking the car.

I don't quite understand how the switch in the handle prevents the boot from unlocking with all the other doors? On mine, it unlocks when I press the "boot open" button then the button in the handle actually releases the tailgate. So presumably the unlock function on the lock is not being actuated by the "all doors" button. Ian.

Yes that’s what happens with them it’s sorted as soon as you do the switch, easy enough job to do some people cut and join the wires and it works but that’s not for me.

I'm obviously missing something. Surely the switch in the handle as working as the tailgate opens when I press it (but only after pressing the unlock boot button). The video shows just a simple momentary contact switch, and I assume that it only gets a supply when in an unlocked state. Ian.
