IMA coding

Hi there,
First question - jumping in at the deep end lol.
SO my FL2 stopped at the side of the road and i didnt have the time or dedicated scanner to roll my sleves up so i left it to a garage to sort - low pressure pump, high pressure pump, and 3 new to me injectors later (with a few other bits) i picked it up form the garage. It was there a while we both had had enough - so much so the guy asked if i wanted it burnt at one stage, I hope he was joking...

Anyway there was still a bit of a miss/stutter under load so i got a foxwell NT530 to get stuck in myself.
The 3 injectors were never re-coded, the scanner has this function however it is prompting security when i hit the apply button for the update.
Is this a freelander thing? if so does anyone know how to unlock it?

oh and a sanity check - cylinder #1 is beside the pullies? I second guessed myself being a classic mini man, then someone agreed at #1 was to the right?

Thanks in advance, Stewart

so to part answer my own question i found this in the repair manual

NOTE: The TD4 engine cylinders are numbered from the rear of the engine (transmission end). Therefore, Number 1
cylinder and number 1 injector are located at the rear of the engine. Stewart

Why not take it back to the garage?

each party was sick of each other and the trust is gone - They got me to go and get a 2nd hand high pressure pump which then failed again when they were messing with injectors so i had to then buy a new one - the response i got was oh well should have bought new first time!

I had a UR quattro wit good service history so i left it inot a main dealer - they only replaced 1 oil filter used the wrong oil and broke a fog light trying to replace a bulb!

I always had issues with someone else working on my cars anyway lol.

I have been hammering the keyboard while "in" work - my garage is now a lab, 12 hours in it yesterday and not 1 spanner turned, and cannot find any reference to security when it comes to programming the injectors. i just need time in the car to get screen shouts to log a ticket. Stewart
