Hi thanks for the offer, I was wanting one for modifying ccf files as I'm planning on fitting Dab and a few Other bits and bobs. Just collecting the parts I need before I buy a unit atm, still can't decide between a nanocom or an IID tool though. Thanks Scott

I've got a discovery and 2 freelander 2's, I've just swapped from a nanocom to a iid. Best thing I've done, so much better than the nanocom. I can only do the ccf on my discovery without paying for another licence but can still read all fault codes, see live data and do things like service reset on any other supported models. I've also got a icarsoft that covers every Land Rover model but that's just for fault codes and live data, I find it really clunky to use as well.

If you want want to use my iid for ccf changes your more than welcome if you want to pay the £60 for the license for your vehicle. Just a option if you don't think you would use one much after you've done your mods.

Pete.

Its 3 years on but I now have one that I wish to offload. Is anyone interested in my Nanocom Evolution? FL2 was recently traded for a Disco Sport.

I had a Disco 2 and a Nanocom Evolution. I contacted the makers when I changed to the Freelander 2 and they said that they didnt do post 2013 software for the Freel2 and had no plans to do so. I sold my Nanocom to a guy on the D2BC forum. Hope I wasnt a bit premature? Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

ODB Link MX+ is the way to go.......

Everything else out there pales into insignificance compare to this nifty little box of tricks. Of course, you need to find the relevant one for your operating system...this is for iOS devices, but Android is also available.

It even interrogates modern JLR 19MY> as well. Priceless bit of kit, and a great investment

Seriously? Yes, it is a good piece of kit but it is purely reliant on the software app you use with it. There is no way (as far as I am aware) that any of those are capable of CCF editing, which is what people with nanocoms etc buy them for.

By the way i do own both & they both do what I need them to do for me, I use the MX+ for my Triumph Bonneville, linked with the tuneecu app which is capable of editing/uploading engine maps to the ecu, plus all the usual diagnostic checks.

I was planning on buying a MY15 FL2 and asked BBS if the evolution would still work on the later model and was advised it would.

I got a Disco Sport and now need to get something else. After just typing that I put the evolution on the DS and it seemed to connect to the car and read fault codes. The service function didn't work as all it wanted to do was sinc CCF or Read CCF.

Hi g,

I'd be a bit wary of plugging it into the DS, 'just incase' Smile

JLR have also changed the diagnostic structure from a certain MY (don't remember which) & SDD will no longer work with those. The new system is call Pathfinder, so I believe.

Cheers,
