No, it changed to 7 years or 120k miles, Mikey stated this back in October my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

I didn't get the one I was hoping for - the dealership decided they couldn't sell it as there was too much work to be done on it before they could wrap it in an 'Approved' warranty and sell it.

However.... I am looking at another one - this time a Black SD4 HSE Lux MY14. This one has done 66k on the clock though.

Feels a bit high? We're a high-mileage family, so this will be closing in on 100k in a couple of years time. I want the car to last as long as possible, but is 120k+ an unrealistic expectation?

Oh, and this one has a factory-fitted towbar... concern?

2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Firenze Red

My own FL2 HSE Lux which is a 2013 registered car, has now done 145,000 miles.
I've had it just over three years, started at similar mileage (64,000) and has only ben serviced etc as necessary - by myself I might add.
Brake disks and pads all round once - rears due again now, and I had to replace the front PTU but that is quite an unusual fail.
All in all it's been excellent.

66k is only average miles. Mine was 87k on a 13 plate when I bought it, and was not worried about that mileage.
Should be good for 200k or more if serviced correctly, so not an issue.
Low mileage causes more faults if anything, due to lack of use.
Buy on condition rather than mileage.

The MY13 onwards are more reliable than the older variants, and much less likely to have the rear diff issues.
Faulty door lock actuators seems to be the most common issue, and water in the high level brake light.

Most Freelander 2 seem to have a towbar, so a non issue in my opinion.

200k would not be unheard of, mines on 68k at the minute, a 2014 model and I'd say that is still fairly low mileage for 6 year old. I hope to have mine for many many more miles. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
