Split intercooler hose

Well it had to happen - I have the FL2 for 2 weeks and it develops the dreaded whooshing and restricted power message. The dealer I bought it from (who is 50 miles or so away in Stafford) was insistent that it was the fuel filter, however Mark at MP Trading of Tardebigge (many thanks to Largered for pointing me in his direction) thought a split intercooler hose far more likely. He kindly fitted me in and fixed it this morning while I waited for a very reasonable £100 or so. Guess who will be doing my cambelt / water pump change later in the year.....

I have sent the invoice off to the dealer but have little faith that he will honour it. However, if not I will give him appropriate feedback on Autotrader which will dent his sparkling reputation somewhat. Ian.

I didn't mean to use him so soon ....... Laughing Laughing

Many other forum members recommend garages that they have had good service from. We all help each other.

Yes, that was a real godsend and very timely. Mark seems to be a very genuine person and a nice chap to boot.

It seems to me it would be a good idea to have a sticky for recommended workshops / suppliers. Moderators? Ian.
