Wales 2014 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Firenze Red

Ha ha Steve that's what I've been thinking then again a brand new fitted one could go after a few miles ( swmbo TT Censored ) just I will just get it done. If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

Thanks for that TooBlue, but my question was really would the belt need changing with approximately half the mileage for service schedule just because of age.
Steve and Mikey I know the sadly missed Yorkie Bob first said about the change from 10 to 7 year issue.

My independent is still saying 10 years for cambelt change, and that Topix Land Rover is wrong
for a Freelander 2.

He says it is 7 years for Discovery's,

It still fells like a brand new car though.

I had a door actuator recently replaced under warranty though.

The 10 years is for the earlier TD4 160’s, not the SD4 190’s. What does a main dealer say? Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto
Present: Audi A3 S Line.

I have a TD4, it's on my profile thing!

108 month service says to change belt for my Vin number.

At the end of the day it is what you feel comfortable with, or are happy to take the risk. Personally, I had mine changed when I bought the car.
Would a garage replace your engine if your belt snapped even if they had recommended 10, 9 or 7 years, I doubt it.

Not a nice way to be but I have very little faith or trust in garages. The body aches and complains these days if I spend to much time under a car, the reason garages are used more often than I'd like.

I haven't got a choice mate Crying or Very sad think sometimes garages see you coming and know you are unable to do certain jobs then it's ££££££s.

Got to say that NOT all are like that and I've found a good one hopefully who done my undersealing and wheel bearing.

As for servicing, might as well use dealer as them and indy are same price !! If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.
