Hi there and welcome,there are far more informed people on here than me but if you're keeping the car I would sort the tyres as it could well be them and they need doing anyway. |

I had a similar noise a while ago, turned out it was the rear diff bearing. it was fine when under load but as soon as I took my foot off and started to slow it would whine. |

I had a reconditioned diff with a bigger bearing fitted for £800... but Land rover will do a repair which is just replacing the bearing. If you contact them on here they normally offer to pay something towards it if you get the work done at a garage, think thats normally around £500 when I asked |

Hi, i had the work done by LR and they did it for £350 as they admitted that the issue was a common problem, now three years on and 20000 later the noise is back, this time it starts at 30mph, more of a higher pitch that seems to turn to a lower pitch as you slow down to almost a stop.
