fluid change

Any advice on changing the power steering fluid and brake fluid , mines well in need of a change . Was thinking of main dealer but might cost a arm and a leg.

Indeed. ...until you find that the bleed nipples are very slightly smaller than your spanner size and already pretty well rounded-off and seized solid! My brake fluid change is now on that list of things to do on that mythical warm sunny day, when there is no rush! Laughing 2005 D3 2.7 Auto

I've bled brakes in the olden days - a PITA even then when I could get under a car easily.

However I've never tried emptying the system in that way and seems it would be a catalyst to high blood pressure and a heart attck/suicide.

How does the vacuum system that mechanics use?

looking at this job myself, so very interested to find out. MY11 SD4 SE Auto

Get new a Power Steering Reservoir if you do, the built in internal filter is probably in need of a change.
