**SOLD** '14 plate Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto

Another price drop!

Now on Autotrader reduced from £10,750 to an incredible £9,450. I'm ready to buy our new car but keen to avoid part exchange if possible, hence the price drop.

Hi ladies and gents

We are selling our Freelander 2 to fund the purchase of a campervan. Fantastic vehicle, well looked after and never driven off road. We are only the 2nd owners of this lovely Land Rover which looks stunning in Loire blue with alpaca beige leather.

Mileage: just under 86k miles but will increase slightly as still in daily use.
The first owner covered mostly motorway miles.
Registered 30 April 2014. Full service history, mostly main dealer.
Major service by a Land Rover specialist in Nov 19; including transmission fluid.
MOT to 31 October 2020.
New discs and pads all round Dec 19.
Set of 4 matching Michelin Cross Climate SUV 4 season tyres, which have covered approximately 12k miles.
No tow bar and, to my knowledge, it has never towed.
Deep dark metallic Loire blue with alpaca beige leather interior in very good condition.
The paintwork has some minor scratches in places but none are deep and they are only noticeable if you actually look for them.
Smoke free. Pet free.
Drives really well, no known faults.
Located near Wadebridge in Cornwall, I could probably deliver to Birmingham or near Derby where I have family.

2014 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Loire Blue

Lovely car and identical to mine in all respects apart from mileage (51k). The best FL2 I have owned. Will be a nice car for someone. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Baltic Blue

Underpriced fella, I sold mine this week (62 plate, same colour as yours albeit Baltic Blue) with 60k for £12700. Was only on Auto Trader for 4 days....

Have you tried Gumtree? We sold a two year old Mitsubishi L200 pickup on there for over £18k a couple of years ago and no fee. Went very quickly. Worth a try. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

I think 11K would be nearer the price someone would pay, as there is a 64 reg SE on ebay with less miles for 11,650 and that is from a retailer, and compared to what I paid for mine your price seems way too high for a private seller. I would only buy from a dealer, unless it was very cheap.

There is also same car as the OPS for 11,495 same year less miles and from a dealer.

Thanks TooBlue. Difficult to price. What you said makes sense, but then other forum members think I'm about right. Difficult to gauge!

I'm hoping that being from the final year of production, combined with being in Cornwall where cars sometimes cost a bit more due to limited supply means it will sell, but limited interest so far.

I think your biggest problem is your location !

people from SE, S, Midlands ...... never mind north and Scotland ........ just will not travel, no matter how good the vehicle.

This winter in the UK has been very mild, which has probably not helped with 4x4 sales either, as most of us have not seen seen a single snow flake.

Although mine has been great this winter, for driving in heavy rain and flooded roads.
