England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Firenze Red

Just been out shuffling our cars round on the drive and…

… I now know the shutdown 'whine’ on my 63 SD4 is simply the aircon fan spinning down. I restarted the car with the fan switched off (from full on) - no 'whine' at all.

On my last car, the throttle body went from inaudible to a very loud clattering rather than any sort of whine.
