Boy... what have you done to that car ?... Laughing

Where? Inside transmission.
Remove transmission ECU and see if all pins inside the ECU to transmission connector are OK and free of corrosion. Pay attention to pin 12 and 13.
Then, if all looks OK, remove valve body and ... hmmm ... errr ...... But let's see about that connector first. Laughing

Is that green component in your picture.

United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Fuji White

Quote from repair manual (if its any help?)

P2158-00 Vehicle Speed Sensor B (input shaft speed sensor (ISS))

ISS sensor circuit: short circuit to ground ISS sensor circuit: short circuit to power ISS sensor circuit: open circuit ISS sensor fault

Check the ISS sensor and circuits. Refer to the electrical guides. Install a new ISS sensor as necessary.
For additional information, refer to: Input Shaft Speed (ISS) Sensor - I6 3.2L Petrol (307-01 Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Removal and Installation) / Input Shaft Speed (ISS) Sensor - TD4 2.2L Diesel (307-01 Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Removal and Installation).

Also for other faults I would suggest grouping them by the time they actually happened to look for similarities, or common usages of wiring.
If it looks like random Bus Signalling problem, start looking for cable damage, and reseat connectors. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 76k+ miles) (MY2015)

The TCM (no 4, or better look at the previous page of what you posted) have 2 connectors.
One, obvious, where the main harness is connecting and one between its body and gearbox body, hidden, visible only when you dismantle the TCM from the gearbox.
I was talking about this "hidden" connector, "case connector", which is round in shape.

That connector's wires lead internally directly to the valves and sensors (speed and temperature). There is no other connector internally.
Or maybe I didn't understood your question....

Yes that’s the plug
I found water and a little corrosion in the plug
I’m wondering if there is a bad connection on the under side
Since I did as u suggested I’ve less fault codes now, thank you 2008 xs
