Passenger door locked

Hiya folks.
Any suggestions that don't involve an angle grinder on how to get the front passenger door on my 57 plate FL2 to unlock?

I have tried from the inside and also tried the emergency key on the outside but joy.

I know it will probably involve taking off the door panel but is that possible whilst the door is shut?

without knowing whats happened before hand, I take it you have tried via the keyfob by hitting unlock button twice? 2017 SEAT Ateca 4drive 2.0 xcellence (May 2022 -

I have tried the double pressing of the keyfob which works fine on all the other doors and boot just not the passenger door.
When you press the keyfob you can hear the mechanisms on the other door locks working but not the front passenger one.

So my problem is how to get the door card off with the door locked and the seat in the way. Is it possible?

Are you certain that you can't get the door open? Check this out:

I've tried every combination I know of and some dubious suggestions from Mr Google but the door will not open.

I'm thinking that the only option will be to get the card off damaged, replace the mechanism and then find a replacement card.

Unless you guys have any other tricks to try???

I am going to assume that you have also tried everything in this thread including getting someone to assist from the outside while someone is assisting from the inside?

Couldn’t help noticing the containers, tubes and pump set-up just inside the garage in that video! Any ideas what he is doing? Biodiesel, perhaps?

Update time.
Followed Bobbyg's recommendation of using WD40 on the manual unlock and the door is now open.

The cable assembly had come away from it's retaining position so re-seated the cable, put trim back on and closed the door.

Locked the car with the fob but it will not lock the passenger door. Standing with my ear to each door in turn you can hear all the mechanisms working when pressing the lock button on the fob except for the passenger door so am I right in saying that the lock mechanism on this door needs to be replaced?

From above eBay link .......

I don't think P Patel ......... is Priti Patel our Home Secretary ......... I would guess they import 'after market' products from a cheap source.

I did note this feedback on a JLR part.

Neutral feedback rating should have fitted a genuine part!

read their feedback on the SAME product you require.

Thumbs Up ^^^And the seller's overall feedback (specific product feedback is excellent) is pretty decent as well for a fair bit of transactions.
