Is anything on this site of interest, https://www.auto-lighting.co.uk/product-en...chips.html

I've used them before, but never changed the headlight bulbs, yet.

Have you the link for the online test please?

I bought a pair of the Ultinons for our i3 main beams and although stating they are CanBus compatible they threw faults up, I thought they would be perfect being a genuine Philips bulb.....but no alas. Regards

David

Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me......

I have just taken deliver of the ones from Amazon link above, however these came in a unbranded box with just LEDHEADLIGHTS written on them. Is this the same as everyone elses ?

In the car they are pretty impressive, however the drivers side is definitely better. Will have another look tomorrow to see if its working correctly, and probably swap them over to see if the problem is with the bulbs or my headlights.

Glad you're seeing good results too guys. Yep, I fitted mine with both LED chips pointing up at 10 and 2. Handily this means the cable from the back of the bulb is pointing straight down, which makes checking the adjustment easy.

The tiny Allen key that comes in the box is for the little grub screw in the bulb housing, as you can adjust/rotate the collar to ensure correct orientation.

First time I’ve been out in the dark since fitting mine and the light spread is very patchy, I guess I’ve got them out of position. I wondered what the Allen key was for. No problem with the intensity, it looks just as bright as the existing LED’s. 64 plate TD4 SE Santorini Black

I’ve just re done both of mine, I’d fitted them as they came out of the box and they were a mile out. Luckily they can be adjusted without removing the LED unit from the headlight, I just unlocked the Allen screw and turned until the cable was at the bottom. When I get a chance I’ll take it to a mates MoT station and get him to check it. 64 plate TD4 SE Santorini Black
