The EML is an MOT fail - so you're going to have to do something about it.

Whether you'll do further damage in the meantime really depends upon what is wrong. I doubt there is only one cause of this error code. Jules

In case you haven't found the search button, this is the result of 'engine management light'.
Try these links to posts.

You haven't given what your recorded code was - try searching on that as well.

I too thought it was a jokey reply anticipating Sid's usual response to newbies who jump straight without formally announcing themselves.

Made me smile - so that's a good thing Very Happy Jules

Also more info about the vehicle would be helpful.
Age, mileage, engine type , previous issues, actual DTC code (full DTC code if possible ie 5 + 2 sub-codes , not all readers give the full code) Jules

Happy it made someone smile ...... God knows we need it !
Can't believe "Sid" didn't get it!
To explain .......... Some years ago, we got a puppy. His name started off as Griff. However, as he was a real handful, and my favourite beer is Grimbergen, his name became Grim, as my wife said I was making his life Grim.
So here we are, Grim is buried with the rest of the menagerie 16 years later. Our new rescue puppy is called Raff. Perhaps I should change my username to Raffdog, but that would be disrespectful ......... Or perhaps "Sid" should just get a life Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

We lived in Nijmegen for 18 months and I quickly grew to love the Netherlands and Belgium beers. My favourite is Kwak. Jules
