Germany 2012 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Orkney Grey
its time to say thank you FL2

When I bought my Freelander2 new in Juli 2012 I really liked the car , now I love it! It has given me excellent service all over Europe. Now there are 345000km on the clock ( that is roughly 214000miles).
Most parts are still the first: engine, gearbox, clutch!!!, rear and front diff and the complete exhaust!!!
What had to be changed? at 280000 the EGR-valve and is cooler , at 335000 two trackrod ends and now at 334000 the two rear wheel bearings.
One more little thing: since I have the base model ( diesel , MT) there was a plastic steering wheel which dissolved at about 250000. So I had a refurbished unit installed with nice leather for 150 Euro.
The engine is still strong since it got its service always on time. The service was entirely done by myself after the guaranty ran out. I made a copy of the last page in the service book, copied that several times and glued it into the back of the book, so the record can be kept further on.
So I wish all of you a similar experience!

Good to hear Thumbs Up

Considering that exhausts used to expire within 2 to 3 years, I don’t think we do too badly now Very Happy

What bits?

Because most of mine is getting really rusty now (apart from the rear box). Regards
