2013 GS radio screen lines

Hi my 2013 gS with the small radio screen has developed lines all down it see pic.

Sometimes it ok then it starts by flickering before just going to lines. Slight pressure on it and it works ok for a bit.

Any ideas or is it a new display??

I can’t see any pics but it sounds like it has a problem.

I haven't seen one of these units with the cover off, but most likely the screen is attached to the circuit board with a flat cable and connector.
As you have the signal to one or more vertical lines of pixels it could be as simple as removing and reconnecting this plug.
While you are there check for ingress of water or other physical damage.

PS I have just seen your (sideways?) picture and it looks like the connector is loose because more than one line of pixels is missing. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

I've just had another look at your picture and now believe that the problem lies with the graphics, and so is the circuit board or the power supply getting to the board and/or screen.
The bands seem to be too varied to be a simple connection failure to the screen. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)

the 'lines' are caused by 'aging' Zebra strips between the display PCB and the display Glass

Agree with above.
Unfortunately it's very difficult to repair such screen issues, so replacement will be the least hassle. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.
