2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Indus Silver
Parking sensors Freelander XS

Hi, new member to forum, but watched for a while before registering so I could ask a question. I have a 2011 Freelander XS TD4 Manual. I have front and rear parking sensors and a switch on the dash. None of my parking sensors work. Nothing ticks or beeps at all, no malfunction tone. A code scan only shows one fault in PAM module - B1B54-12 Function LED as a permanent fault. I've had it at an independent Landrover specialist thinking the system has been disabled by a previous owner, but they confirm the system is activated. They suggested the fault was either in the switch or the wiring. I've changed the switch with a 2nd hand unit, and it's still the same. The light on the switch is on all the time, doesn't flash, it's on solid. I've removed front and rear bumpers and carried out some continuity checks on the wiring but all seems ok. I had a towbar on the car when I got it and I've since removed it, but the sensors were inoperative before the towbar removal as they are now. The only other thing I could add is that there is also the same B1B54-12 Function LED fault in the DDM (drivers door module) - could there be a connection? And why would the fault codes be the same in the drivers door module as the parking module? Any advice on the fault codes specifically or ideas about trouble shooting the parking system generally would be appreciated. Thanks Smile

2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Indus Silver

Hi Mike, thanks for the reply. Is it possible that a sensor can be faulty without a fault code?
