England 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Auto Barolo Black
Key fob problem

Hi I have just changed the battery in my key fob. On my 57 freelander 2 Xs and it dose every thing but unlock the car. Any ideas I have new micro switches but I’m not confident enough to change them.

Touch up/re solder your new battery connections and check the board/chips for any extra solder that may have escaped when you removed the old battery or when installing the new one. I had the same issue with one of my remotes and that resolved it for me. You can also clean the micro switches with electronic "contact cleaner" as well but that alone did not solve the issue for me.
