Traction warning light !

Hi All, new member I have a LR2 HSE 2011 which I tow my 1400Kgs caravan with, on returning from a recent holiday pulled onto my drive with the caravan hitched and the oil service due light came on which I new was due and already booked in next week, however this was followed by Traction reduced warning which I haven't seen before .I have since driven the car without
the caravan and no reduced traction warning, on looking for possible causes for this warning you are spoilt for choice from a loose wire/software update required /differential problems /haldex malfunction etc , the car has done 68000 miles and in the 3years of my ownerships had A and B services as scheduled plus new tyres all round 10 months ago. what I want to avoid is giving the main dealer an opportunity to go through a whole series of expensive trial and error cures , so please could you advise my next step in tackling through self help methods. Also can I tow my caravan whilst this warning is appearing.
your advice would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

this will interest you,i had the traction control light on, after stopping and switching off the light went off, continued journey of 20 miles at 75 mph on a38.when I arrived I found that the rear tyre had a puncture and was at about 18 psi, needless to say the tyre got hot and the wall was damaged and I felt no difference at that straight line speed.new tyre fitted ,no return of traction light.so maybe you have a low pressure in a rear tyre, and the caravan is squashing it so as to confuse the sensor.
