I like a lighter coloured interior as well but I don't want to spend the extra time cleaning it or getting someone else to clean it.

This is the video I seen back in October 2013 which is when I ordered my new car. Wasn’t many dynamic reviews back then and there still isn’t much now either .

Wonderful colour combination, I like light interior.

“If you happen to be a female, please tell me if you like this colour by the way”

Really? A genuine Petrolhead then Rolling with laughter

I don't think that the, "Female", has a great bearing on the choice of interior colour, although Pam dislikes dark interiors, I think it's more to do with the, Asian Market, where they seem to like the bright and light colours, and JLR need this market. Just by chance a sat in a new, Ford Ecosport. What a black hole that was and no choice of any light relief.

Pretty sure he was referring to the exterior colour as the next shot shows it driving past.......being an unusual light blue compared to the normal “petrol head” black on black on black on black etc etc.

We always go for light interiors also, far nicer a place to be than the standard “black hole” effect. Regards

David

We don't paint our homes black inside.

And it looks classier Thumbs Up Regards

What do people do to the interiors to get them so dirty?

I clean the leather in our cars maybe twice a year with a decent cleaner/treatment and it always looks lovely......then again we don’t have kids anymore to cart around and no muddy dogs ever.......just ourselves, that must be the trick. Wink Regards

Interesting that they see the single worst “upgrade” on the car (the removal of the TR rotary dial and substitution with fiddly buttons that get covered in rubbish, filled with crumbs/muck and can’t be used with gloves on) as a step forward Confused

Have cream leather and have never given it an -extra- clean n 4 years. It has a pleasant mature patina but the only minor discoloration is from my blue jeans.

TR buttons are a pain when you're short as I find that seat is so far forward that the buttons are behind me Sad If it wasn't so bad it'd be funny.

Whoever thought the removal of the rotary control was a an improvement needs lessons in ergonomics. Jules

If you get a lighter interior you still get a black floor in the boot. I stuck a piece of boat carpet on the boot floor which always looks a lot cleaner being lighter.
