Terrible that anybody died, but to only have 9 die out of the 135 it could have been..... Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Is it my imagination or is there a sharp increase in air travel incidents of late?

i think its like any news related incident

One big one make the new, like the Hudson River one, then the news agencys find other similar ones make good news storys too.

What gets me, is when they make a big news story out of it, but you never hear the outcome. Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I think that's being a bit strong. You would never find an air crash unreported.
I think it's more the case that you notice an air crash more if there has been something similar in the news recently.

Obviously air crashes or something of this nature would be reported, but it was a generalised statement, not just about air crashes Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
