| seagull1 Member Since: 23 Jan 2011 Location: Loughborough Posts: 329      | Not inside the cabin, but my cables (casing) would not pull out of the wheel back plate without the aid of a home made release tool - a piece of 1/2" copper pipe inserted from the hub side and hit with a hammer to release the retaining barbs. I believe they are supposed to just pull out.

| Badger51 Member Since: 01 Mar 2014 Location: Korora Posts: 1023    | The cables do not just pull out of the backplates/hub, as Richard has already suggested, a piece of tube (12mm id x 15.5mm od from memory), will be required to collapse the retainer. First time I did, I found that was the most difficult part! Luckily I had access to a lathe!
