Freelander 2 HST Rear Boot Handle

Hi Guys!

Newby here again!

Looking to get my rear boot handle resprayed gloss black as the "weathered grey" looks awful!

Any hints or tips or any bodyshops you recommend near Newbury, Berkshire or Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire?

Thanks

When I had my D2,
the DBC2 forum did have available reflective inserts for the LAND ROVER lettering in the rear bumper,
now somewhere in the man cave I'm sure I still have a set. maybe they could be reduced in size Cool
not sure if it will look right but it'll be different. Laughing DAVE.

Actually I’d forgotten that, our first FL1 (bought new as employee back in 2001 I think, had the BMW engine with auto) had the depressed LAND ROVER in the rear bumper and I found some vinyl letters to stick in the voids, looked really good actually, the letters were a silver and the bumper grey, just enough contrast with subtlety. Regards

David

Seen that on Powerful UK but I am going to de-chrome everything and go for stealth black.

Ultimately I want it to look like this one.

Prefer the look of mine TBH.

The blacked out gangsta rapper look look is fine,if that's what you want -it's your vehicle after all , but it will draw unwanted attention from the "boys in blue" if the lights are blacked out to more a than 50% tint. The tint in you're earlier pics look far more than just 50%. 50% just looked smoked rather than black to match the rest of the vehicle.
The chrome strip on my handle is removable, so it would be easier to just paint or wrap this rather than the whole handle.
