Its at the Stealers again!!

Took my FL2 to the stealers today for their second attempt at fixing the knocking noise whilst also in for a replacement 'faulty' drivers seat and the PTC heater thingy. Took a technician on a testdrive before I left and he is of the same opinion as me that the creaking/knocking noise is coming from the rear passenger door and NOT suspension related (despite them saying on the first attempt it was suspension related and replaced loads of bits).

CG will be pleased - the b Censored ds have put me in a black FL2 XS spec. Its a 09MY with 3000 miles on it and the only downers are no satnav and no auto box. Quite suprised with the manual though, got used to it quickly and the economy is excellent, achieving 38mpg on my return journey which I would only normally get 32mpg out of my auto. Hey you also get map reading lights now - wish I had them in my 08MY HSE!

the drivers seat had a tendancy to move ever so slightly forward when i braked and backward when i accelerated. it was only a slight movement but enough for me to notice and have it investigated. LR have acknowledged that this is a known fault with some FL2's which can be remedied with a new fixing kit - except mine which for some reason needs a complete drivers seat transplant!!

Update

1) PTC Heater - replaced and working
2) Loose Drivers Seat- replaced and no longer loose
3) Knocking Noise - now identified as being a problem with the rear passenger door and has to be booked in to the bodyshop to be rectified. Apparently a LR Bulletin has just been issued regarding this. Got completely baffled when it was explained what the problem was but from what i can understand with my 'limited' car knowledge is something to do with how the door is sitting in the hole?

Unless it's a perforated leather seat... the smell must get unbareble over time Laughing
