I just stand on the rear wheel and inner sill when loading up my canoe/kayak to the roof.

I'm around 120kg and although the site states the step itself is good for 'around 200' I'd question the integrity of the door bracket although I suppose it is only intended as a 'leg up' rather than to be used like a ladder. Apart from that, not a bad idea |

my idea was store the step with a clothes peg, clip the peg on door, it might remind you not to shut the door when step is in situ, it may not At work |

My main concern is thats a lot of weight to put on the frame wonder if it would distort the bracket or metal work? 2014 Freelander 2 XS TD4

It sits on the B (or C) pillar ................. one of the strongest parts of the vehicle.
