England 2007 Freelander 2 i6 HSE Auto Santorini Black
Space Saver

Due to lack of space in the boot I would like to get rid of the full size spare, lpg tank is where the spare should be, differently not having a can of mucky stuff so the only option is a space saver, I have 235/60/18 tyres, checked as many Feerlander2 space savers sizes as I can find but the closest I can find is 225/65/17 problem is the circumference is -15mm. don't think that's going to do the car much good.
Any ideas anybody please? Common sense isn't very common.

Out of interest (and I know it's not for diesels) but how much does it cost to do an LPG conversion these days? Presumably you have a wheel shaped tank and I guess you must have to do something to the engine management system. I used to see adverts for doing it but not recently and I can't say I have seen any LPG pumps in my local garages. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Diesels can be converted but it's not worth it, 75% diesel and 25% lpg, does make a non turbo car go like it's got one though, some trucks run on it because they do the miles need to cover cost.
Petrol conversios vary in cost but a good one for a Freelander would bo £1500.00 upwards, tanks are cyndrical usuly fitted under the car or round which can be horizontal or vertical. would take about 18 months to recoup the price on a V8 Landie and about 3 years on a Fiesta, if you do like I did there is instant savings, buy one already done Very Happy

Lpg converters near you (i know yours is diesel) https://www.drivelpg.co.uk/approved-instal...installer/
and stations, http://go-autogas.com/cgi-bin/public.pl

Idea of cheapest prices, i work 1/2 mile from the cheapest Very Happy http://go-autogas.com/ Common sense isn't very common.

Don’t know if you ever solved the spare issue but upon investigation (mine is a i6 also) apparently the Volvo XC70/90 space saver is the correct fitting.

Do check though..... Whistle Regards

Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me......

Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again......

Still looking, the closest size Land Rover wheels are still 18mm difference in circumference.
Will look at Volvo's, makes sense that it will be close.
Cheers. Common sense isn't very common.
