Try pricing up Vredestein Quatrac 5s. I am very pleased with mine - they replaced Nokian Weatherproofs which I liked but which had some cracking across the tyre face so I was disinclined to replace like for like. I think the Vreds are even better than the Noks in cold wet weather and was very pleased with the way they pulled in mud. Not an off road tyre but so far I think they are great.

I was also torn between those two tyres. Went for the Michelins in the end as I got a better price and had heard that the Pirellis tend to wear more quickly.

Hi O-B, we are very pleased with the new Pirelli's very good in the wet, which at the moment we have a lot of Laughing
good road holding and ride with quite a low road noise, so overall well worth the purchase and will reccomend them highly.
Cheers
Moe

Has anyone tried these?
They seem to have an impressive Wear B, WET A and NOISE 69 test results.

Are they worth the extra?

Please be aware these Pirelli Tyres are the Volvo Spec tyres with extra wet grip and foam inside to suppress noise (and are the most expensive version) FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 76k+ miles) (MY2015)
