Hi Guys, is there a speed limiter fitted in our Freelander 2? I was testing the top speed of my HSE I6 the other night and when I reach 180km, my FL2 refuse to speed further. If there is a speed limiter fitted. How do I get rid of it? My last 2 Freelander 1.8 & 2.5 KV6 can do better.

Well floppybrownie, I bet there are not many of us here that have gone that fast  2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.

I think that 180kph / 112mph is the cars top speed as quoted by LR. I've had mine upto 110mph = 177kph, but to be honest it felt like it could go alot faster. ______________________

i think they will have a limiter, and this could be removed by a tuning company

I have had mine up to a little bit more than Dave's but not much

since i normally cruise at 15mph less on the motorway, and thats the reason why i don't complain about mpg, that and the company credit card  Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I agree with Dave, the FL2 could have gone a lot faster. Cos at 180km, the rpm is only slightly above 4000 rpm.

I felt like mine was limited too. 09MY FL2 Td4 XS, Style Pack, Privacy Glass, Martinique Blue.. oh so very blue..
