I often look at Disco & RR sites. For example often I have typed in Gibb River Road & Discovery or Range Rover. The Freelander may not have the luxurious suspension but it is a bit less likely to have the eye watering expense of recovering the car from a remote location. Springs are less likely to break than air suspension, more so by not having stupid rubber band thickness tyres!

I'm mcsimmo on here, and strangely, mcsimmo on Disco3 as well.

I moved across when I changed from the D3 to the F2, but keep dipping my toes into the old site to see what the rabble are up to. Updated- Waiting for a Scotland v England 6 Nations home win. 24th Feb 2018

Not long bought a 2013 commercial to go with the D4 commercial.

My Daughter beat me to it by buying herself a 07 GS a few months back.

Also researched D3 and 4 using the same name. As above, got scared by the horror stories of broken cranks and the like so decided on the safer cheaper (hopefully) option of a freel2. Still look with envy at late model D4s though! Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948

Bob, you and me think the same (even though im now in an Ewok but that's only a FL2 really Laughing )

I couldn't believe the problems with the cranks on D3 and D4, I know there are loads out there with perfect cranks but a snapped crank on a D3/D4 is not the same as a failed rear diff on a FL2 - at least that's affordable to replace.

but I still dream of owning a late D4 or maybe similar age RRS one day Whistle
