drivers door mirror replacement

Hi guys have to replace a broken door mirror assy. has anyone found any problems doing it themselves as dealer wants £140 labour on top of the £200 plus for the mirror.

It’s easy! Do it yourself
Cap off, mirror pulls off, remove motor (1 screw in centre) unplug wiring, remove 2 screws to the motor and whole mirror assembly pulls off, no need to bother with door card removal etc unless the part bolted to the door is damaged.
20 minutes max MY15

Some mirrors do not have a parking motor. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Thanks guys, but it is the part that fits to the door that is damaged so looks as if the door card has to come off
Oh deep joy!. Oh well in for a penny in for a pound I can only break it can't I?

England 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Baltic Blue

Removing the door card is pretty simple - just had to do it with mine.
Type Door Card Removal into the search and there is a link to a You Tube Video on how to do it.

Also, if you don't already have them, it is worth investing in a set of plastic trim removal tools. (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.
