having a mechanic look at my lower front suspension arms, ( they have been advisories for last 2 MOT's )

I have a 2007 HSE with AFS headlights , if I heard him right, he says the suspension arms have a sensor attached to enable the headlights to do their thing, is this correct?

I have never seen this part online with a sensor, anyone out there got any knowledge of this ? 2017 SEAT Ateca 4drive 2.0 xcellence (May 2022 -

I've not looked at the Freel2 system, but it's normal for there to be at least one front and one rear ride height sensor (the sensor is normally attached to the body, with a linkage to the suspension), so the BCM can alter the headlamp aim based on vehicle load. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.

i cant say for Freelanders , but the merc i had previously had xenons and had sensors both front and rear so that the headlights were automatically adjusted
