Plastikote boot handle

Anyone on here re painted/coated their boot handle, mine looks like it’s seen better days. Is plastikote a good or bad idea on this?

You could modify it to the facelift full chrome one. Cool FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Yeah thought about that but I don’t want to have to pay for it. I just want to revive what I have. I take it you’ve updated to the later one?

I do like the idea of just spraying it and that’s it and was keen to see if others have done the same.

A bad idea!!!

Used it a few times in the past - both black and orange.
Colour doesn't stay true as it 'greys off' and gives an awful appearance [in my experiences].
Also it's prone to peeling on any slight imperfection or seam...... horrible, horrible stuff IMO.
If you go to the bother of spraying then I'd just use the conventional method of paint! FL2 now gone and have a couple of items left for sale:-

Brodit active iPhone holder + Brodit dash clip,
Bluetooth Music Streaming Module.

I have an ABS chrome cover which IMO looks far better than the original dull finish and far easier than facelift modification - see image in my gallery
