Evening all,

New to LR and new to this site so please excuse my naivety.

I have recently bought a 2008 FL2 HSE. My old man reckons there is a dealer unlock for the sat nav screen to display a graphic showing which wheels have traction etc when you select one of the terrian settings?

Anyone seen or heard of this before please?

Mines 2007 and it doesn't do that.

Apparently a LR dealer can unlock it

There is a graphic that shows where the front wheels are pointing. Nothing to do with Sat Nav screens as I don’t have Sat Nav but get that visual on selection of special driveing programs. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years
FL2 MY13 TD4 GS Current

I thought that this was only available with the post 2012 facelift vehicles, not the earlier ones.

Mine shows where the wheel's are pointing on the small information screen but only when mud and ruts program selected

pre MY13 did not have any link between the screen and the vehicle systems (including radio) so no vehicle information can be displayed on the sat nav screen other than what is already there.

when using terrain response in mud/ruts mode then you should have a small display on the dash of the direction of the front wheels (where the MPG/DISTANCE etc info is displayed)

this is because sometimes when you are driving in slippy mud or along a rutted track, the wheels can be pointing in a different direction to the way you are driving and you can 'pop' out of the mud or ruts with the wheels pointing the wrong way. The display makes you aware of this.
