I would be very interested to know what the normal crank speed should be on a cold start for an 09 TD4. Also the reading for the oil temperature sensor, at cold mine reads over 200 Deg C. Fitted new sensor, no difference. Thanks 👍 Now at the point when I learn something new something old is lost out the other side !

My 2007 TD4 turned over at 900 to 950 rpm on the battery. A good starting car so only cranked for seconds before idling correctly. |

Would agree with Nodge, 900 rpm will be idle speed. Anything from 250 to 300rpm would be cranking speed. Just wanted to confirm that thanks.

Idle speed is 750 RPM, although it can be "tweak" using SDD in 5 RPM increments from 725 to 775 RPM if needed, to eliminate harmonic resonances in the exhaust, power unit mounts or whatever. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold. Hyundai Ionic 5 Ultimate on order. Gone. 2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE. |

I can read the Engine oil temperature in both the Gap IID and the AP200 tools. The later shows two values one in voltage and one as temperature
