2008 Freelander 2 TD4 S Manual Firenze Red
How to enable Freelander 2 Commercial rear windows?

I have recently purchased a 2008 (5Cool freelander 2 X spec factory commercial.

I wish to enable the rear electric windows to allow some extra ventilation for my dog.
Can anybody shed any light on the likey solution?

I was expecting to hunt down some missing relays but I now wonder if it is a software issue and will require dealer plug in.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Andrew

I would check if this affects your insurance as a modification?? Upgraded to an ex demo, 7 mth old, Rimini Red/Ebony Napoli Auto HSE on 28th Jan 2011, added roof rails, mudflaps and side strips.
Gone - A great 57 Plate, Auto SE, Bought Feb 2009, Roof Rails and Mudflaps added on purchase. Blue colour, anything but drug dealer black.....

Yep,

No reply as of yet.

I do have a friend of a friend who works for a landrover dealer, so that will be my next route for query.
I have had a quick look into the fuse boxes but do not really see any obvious omissions and it has been suggested that it may be a software thing.

I was just asking to find if it had been done before.

Has to be enabled in the CCF.
Not sure the dealer has access to changing the required fields so you’d have to come up with a fairly good “spin” for the dealer to contact “LR” technical to unlock the associated fields to enable the rear windows.
