Could the recent weather had caused it to split?

Don’t think so the vehicle had its MOT on 08/02/18 and my friend let me under the ramp. The hose was fine then and I couldn’t see any sign of stress etc. Below is a pick of it on 08/02/18.

Are they just bog standard 8mm fuel hoses? Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto
Evoque SD4 Dynamic Lux Auto
Present: Audi A3 S Line.

I think when the temp is too low the rubber becomes brittle and may have caused the hose to split

Hi new here and this is my first post asking for help, i was wondering if any of you kind folk could advise the internal diameter of the flexiable rubber pipe required to replace the ones which perish. Mine are showing signs of cracking and I don't want to remove them until I have a replacement. I have searched to forum but cannot find any reference to the internal size of pipe used. By the way great site lot of good stuff and fixes.

If you look towards the end of this thread you will see how I replaced mine with a longer piece of tubing. The dealer wanted to replace the whole caboodle for about £370 but all you need is a bit of high temp tubing.
